I ordered 2 red & 1 purple. Hung the first red & batteries went dead almost immediately. Installed brand new alkaline batteries, they still went dead after only a few hours. The purple isn’t really purple, it’s more of a blue. I haven’t opened the other red strand. Will probably return all 3. Definitely the first red one.

I’ve purchased a lot of string lights for various projects, and I was particularly pleased with these. They are very bright especially compared to those that are battery-powered. They plug into a USB port; I plugged them into a 110 volt adapter plugged into the wall. I’ve had them on for a long time with no degradation of brightness or quality. Very satisfied; would certainly purchase this type / brand again.
